Sombrio Vapor Storm Jacket - Men's
Sombrio makes Mother Nature try harder.
Sombrio Vapor Storm Jacket - Men's:
The Sombrio Vapor Jacket transforms you from a wet dog on a bike into a rain-loving, mud-slinging demon of the woods. This killer shell is engineered for freeride MTB, with full-stretch waterproof breathable fabric and a trim cut that still allows full-range movement. Step up to the North Shore's worst weather, your head tucked safely in the Vapor's hood and your hands toasty warm in the laser-cut, fleece-lined pockets. Mesh-lined underarm vents scoop in air on the descent and blow out heat on the climb back up, while the all-over camo print lets you scope new lines and hit them unseen, like a two-wheeled Special Forces team.

I own this jacket for a year now, and it is absolutely the best jacket I own. It does exactly what its suppose to do keep you dry n all conditions, I have been through rain storms and hale, from mountain downhill shuttles to road rides for fitness in the rain….never got wet. It is very technical and also vents well considering the riding I do. Sombrio put out a great product. In cold weather just layer under it and you’ll be fine. If you’re thinking about getting it….. just do it and Enjoy!!!! BTW I’m 6’ 185 pounds geared with pressure suit and I got the XL so it covers the suit and the full face helmet (has a very well designed hood).
Great Lightweight Jacket

Used it for a few cold and wet days, and I am excited that it has kept me dry. Definitely not great on cold days, but best used as a rain/wind stopper. Sizing is on the large size as mentioned below by other reviews.

I love my Sombrio Vapor Storm Jacket. It's lightweight and packable, so I always take it with me in my pack. It also seems to be very durable. I wore it for the entire ride of Porcupine Rim in Moab and I thought it was going to have snags and tears from trees and an over the bars blooper but the jacket came out unscathed. It's true that the inside could be more like the "dry touch" stuff but I usually layer for bike riding anyway so it's a non issue. Love this Jacket.
Nice jacket, but could be better.

I really like Sombrio shorts and jerseys, so I had high hopes for this jacket as a riding-specific jacket. It is a good jacket with great waterproofing, but a couple things could be better thought-out: The armpit vents follow the contour of your pit, so that unless you are reaching above your head the vents remain largely closed. However when riding they should open up enough to be useful. The interior fabric feels a bit clammy compared with some of the 'dry touch' stuff out there in winter outerwear. Otherwise, nice piece - great zips with tight tolerances, etc.
eh not a huge fan

It looks really cool but I haven't really wanted to wear it too much. The inside material makes things a bit clammy and the hood/neck fit is way off. Nice taped seam and zippers though
