Bottomless CL Day!
Sick deals back to back all day long.
+1 LED technology advancing by leaps and bounds, already dropping the hammer on HID.
+1 these will meet only the most minimal expectations. If you are a commuter or ride on the road at night, don't underestimate the lumens necessary for motorists to pay any heed whatsoever. Don't skimp on your own safety. If you dig the dirt, these are certainly not going to be sufficient to have you churnin' up the singletrack past sunset!
Lots of good choices, incl. Niterider, L&M as others have mentioned BUT... IMHO, do not drop $400 without checking out dinotte lighting- Pricey, but...wow.
Go to WesternBikeWorks and get Light&Motion Vega for $130. Cheapest I could find
Performance has what looks like a bargain light for $40, but it falls apart =(
continental gp4000 clinchers. 700x23c. preferably black or gray, but blue or yellow will work just fine.
Sorry, these lights will simply only let you be seen. They are nothing good enough to see the road by, unless you ride in pitch darkness at low speeds.
Get a niterider minewt x2 or minewt x2 dual for $150-220, well worth the money... Forget HID, it will soon be obsolete with today's LED technology.
Any experience with these lights ? I was planning on getting a $400 HID but if these were sufficent for an 8 mile commute during dusk I'll just get these.
Oh I never said there weren't any people who used XL's just that there weren't many, especially not enough to warrant 35 vests. Just to let you know though, there are some of us who put in at least an hour a day four days a week at the gym building strength without the bulk.
Yeah brother! Some of us have 22" pythons from putting the time in the gym lifting weights, taking the vitamins AND we cycle for all the little Hulkamaniacs out there! So you make fun little pip squeek but whatca gonna do when Hulkamania dropes the quad hammers on you!
Believe it or not brother ... some of us lift weights AND ride. We can't all be emaciated string beans.
Who the hell puts up 35 xl's? It's going to take forever to get the next deal.
Sweetness, i just bought a new bike...well slightly used off clist but at a great deal....now time to spend twice that on gear.
noahjcfost1414864 - a pop up will be available soon!
You could combine these with knee warmers and have the best of both worlds- you can "look like a '70's housewife in capri stretch pants" until you get yourself all sweaty, then peel the warmers and live out your Tony Little infomercial fantasy. I guess that's a personal thing, too. (I hear you on the warmers, necro.)
BTW, Bibs are def the way to roll- check it out, if ya don't know.
Can we get some add ons for Chain love...It is taking a toll on my productivity having to click on it every five minutes
Yea that would be wrestling tights, hence the previous wrestling comments, and god i hope backcountry doesn't get into wrestling gear, that would be a sad day
Does this piece remind anyone else of the swimsuit Borat wears in his movie? Kinda hot...
Yeah, I hear you. I'm not a big fan of leg warmers either but for some reason knickers make me feel like some 70's housewife wearing capri stretch pants. Wearing spandex shorts makes me feel like I'm in a Tony Little infomercial so its better...I think.
those are biking tights? ooooh, I wanted them for wrestling...is backcountry.com doing a one deal at a time wrestling gear site?
well apparently only medium size people really like these since barely any of the other ones have been sold. They kinda just remind me of wrestling tights for some reason
Yeah, I guess its a personal thing, I've always been a knicker guy. Hate the leg warmers.
they look snuggly yet crotchety, yeah its a word, spell check let it pass.
