HAHAHA!!

I like this one. She's pretty cool.

Seriously, the Patagonia thongs will hold more up front?

by MountainMedic (SDgearaddict) (92)

there's a reason that manufacturers make a women's version and a men's version. maybe someday, it'll come to "women just buy your normal size and men can buy 3 sizes larger to fit"

by Cataboo (318)

mdubs,

I'm sorry you look shitty in your victoria secret thongs.

your problem was that you didn't get patagonia thongs. Or the pants they had on yesterday which were meant to cradle your nuts.

Now, you guys should not buy things with built in shelf bras, but other than that... You can wear women's clothing. And most of us will never ever notice.

The guys that have ordered x-large or large arc'teryx jackets off sac haven't complained.

And when there's something really cool on sac that they only have in men's sizes... I'll buy one for myself, 'cause I'm woman enough.

as mfh126 said, it's not that easy. usually they come in different (feminine) colors, plus they'll fit differently (especially shoes/sandals for example). believe me - it sure is tempting to see the women's version come up on SAC and not buy it. that just wouldn't pay off in the long run....plus there's always the possibly weird feeling that you get when you wear it

Katriona,

Now that is just silly. I got a very respectable thong from Victoria's Secret a while back and made sure that I got it 2 sizes larger.

I could keep the major items in but my nuts kept squirting out to the side and making it look all funny.

Boys don't wear girls clothes.

by mfh126 (42)

If it was only that easy! Women's clothes, especially activewear (cycling, hiking, etc.), are cut much differently than men's clothing. Men can't just "order one or two sizes larger and wear women's stuff".

How many different shapes do wheels come in? I thought they were all round... :)

by Cataboo (318)

Guy's don't seem to get that they can just buy 1 or 2 sizes larger and wear women's stuff.

Wool and goretex still work whether or not it's marketed as "women" or "men"

Katriona,

I only saw some continental tires, no wheels though.

by Forkboy (171)

Qwitcherbelyakin.

SAC still has 90% of the good stuff in women's sizes.

It's nice having something interesting coming up in a normal Men's size for a change.

Melo,

This site is 2 days old - so it's anyone's guess how often they'll show up. The full carbon pinarellos showed up yesterday.

Wheels have been up about 3 times in different shapes and such.

The ones that were up earlier are listed here:

Anyone see any wheels yet? Or tires???

by MeloCervelo (11)

Does anyone know how often the full carbon Pinarellos come up on this site and what the prices are?

I'm new to this site, BTW. Greetings!

by Cataboo (318)

There were women's bike shorts & jerseys yesterday.

But, I have size 37 feet, so these men's shoes aren't working.

And the pinarello's have been too big for me - I wouldn't mind a road bike or a mountain bike my size. 14-16 inch on the mountain bike and 47-49 on the road bike.

And maybe a short high angle oversize road bike stem.

And some ibex wool...

And backcountry is supposed to be getting a lot of bike gear, so we'll see

by JustBing (42)

Shoes?
Smaller bikes maybe?
wms jerseys?
please?

by necro (43)

It'll be interesting to see where this site goes. Unlike S&C there is not such a huge pool of bike gear in the backcountry outlet. Are we destined to see much less selection than the mothership?

not feeling the chicklove

And if any of you guys can fill in what you remember from yesterday or what you bought yesterday, that'd be great:

Northwave uses their own, idiosyncratic sizing. Be aware that Northwave's sizing is completely different than Sidi, et al. The general sizing chart shown here does not apply to Northwave. Search Northwave's own sizing chart- you can trust it. 43NW = 10US, 44NW = 11US, 45NW = 12US. NW's have the (justifiable) reputation of having a higher volume forefoot than many other brands, while maintaining excellent heel retention. NW's MTB shoes are appropriately more roomy than their road shoes- since you're more likely to walk in them. I typically wear 11.5 street shoes (11.5 - 12 Montrails), and 44.0 Nw's fit me very well. I have narrow heels, medium-high arches, medium width feet, and a moderately high volume forefoot. If you buy size 44 NW's the box will say: 44, UK 10, US 11, CM 29. My experience has been that they fit true to size.
