I've given up on lofty expectations. I missed the pinarello f3, by the time I finished checking out it was gone, so I'm not expecting much more here, and seeing as BC is lacking in the tri-specific and aero goods, I don't imagine I'll be shelling out too much loot. Pity, I was hoping to consume at record pace.
bikeforums.net is a good one. As far as finding someone to ride with you should look for a local cycling club and join in on some group rides.

I was worried about CL, and it's effect on my wallet, but it doesn't seem to be gearing much towards things I will order often.
Of course, expecting ventana frames, fox 36 forks, high end trail wheelsets, etc may be a little much.

between WM, SAC, and CL, my total since December '05 is only $1937.26. I'm amazed that it's that low after 2.5 years. I don't think I was dedicated enough the entire time.
