@hijo -- Right on.
@Cat -- Your comparison makes no sense. You're comparing a single BC.com order with multiple items to multiple asynchronous CL orders.
A single BC.com order regardless of the number of items is atomic and encapsulated in a single unit. Multiple CL orders would each have different unique identifiers and would come in at asynchronous times. How to you properly queue a system for that? Certainly you could, but with the quantity BC.com, et. al. process in a day, it would be an incredibly difficult project. And what if I don't want my stuff queued? Then you'd have two different paths orders would have to take and exceptions all over the place -- a programmer's nightmare. I would hate to be the developer tasked with that one.
@Everyone else -- The deal _is_ price + shipping. If you don't like the deal, then maybe you should be buying it at your LBS.

Ha - see you'd already make a better quality control officer than anyone at Adidas!

@Mr. T: Exactly. "Is my butt showing?" is not what I should be thinking about when I'm descending a canyon at 35mph.

It's not your imagination. Those were one of the pieces of gear I hated -- and I wrote a scathing review thusly.
I'm sorry, but "Is the rise high enough that a cyclist's rear will not be exposed?" should be on the product testing short list for any company attempting to manufacture cycling clothing.
I also bought a pair of shorts where the panels managed be placed oddly enough to accentuate things it shouldn't. Just weird all around.
I'd rather spend a little more and have comfortable, flattering, and quality pieces.

So, I've bought two pieces of Adidas cycling gear on here and returned both. I'm convinced it's designed by people who don't actually cycle and/or don't know how to design for female cyclists.
I'm now following a personal philosophy of not buying anymore Adidas brand cycling gear.
Anyone else have problems with their Adidas gear? Is it just me?

Don't worry, I'm fairly well-versed in hijo-speak so I was following.

"Say... Nicole (if that's even her real name) must have some humongous, ginormous feet, huh? Just sayin."
I laughed out loud at that. But, yeah, pretty much. I'm tall so I figure I need long (but dainty, of course) plank feet to stay upright.
I have both Specializeds (NOT women's specific) and Louis Garneaus (women's specific) in 43 that fit. But my feet swim around in the Northwaves of the same size.

Well, I like how they look -- they're flashy, carbon-ified, and all that jazz. However, they just don't fit. The toe box is way too wide for my feet.

I have a NIB pair of Northwave Aerator 3s in a 43 I'd sell to someone. I just haven't gotten up the ambition to ship them back to CL yet.

Man, I just read the linked article and I have to say I don't like the idea of splintering into so many bike-related (and other BC) product offering websites. It's too hard to follow all the offerings as it is. Tramdock had to be sacrificed (sadly and reluctantly) because I have to pick and choose what I follow.

Dude, it's happened to all of us at least once -- especially those of us going for high demand stuff on SAC.
Chances are that the count on the web page hadn't caught up and you lost out when they sorted out the cluster of orders that they got.
Sucks for sure, but it happens.

As an FYI, I just chatted with a gear expert to figure out for sure what these are, and they are indeed knickers (or capris or whatever your preferred term).
Not sure why Adidas didn't call these 3/4 Cycling Pants since that's what they actually are.

If I don't buy a jersey listed on CL, it's usually for a few reasons.
* It doesn't have three back pockets.
* It's in a lame or low-visibility color.
* It has a pitiful zip length.
For some reason, cycling clothing makers don't always seem to think that women need the same functional jersey features as men.
Alternatively, I may just be at maximum jersey capacity.

Good lord, kyuzo, ask and ye shall receive.
I feel somewhere is a CL employee laughing heartily.
With the good run going on here, I feel like I should come up with a "wish" item.

D'oh -- I want the pretty orange color in the pics!

Holy hell. $500 msrp for flipping pedals? I feel like the law of diminishing returns kicks in waaaay before $500.
I guess you put them on your Serotta Meivici AE.

I have these (except with red detailing), and they're quite comfy. I believe they're from the Spring '07 or Fall '07 season according to the tag.
Also, as an FYI, the inseam is quite long.

Actually, if you read both his messages, he's clearly unsure of how much he'll actually receive. If the smaller amount, he plans to use all of it. If more, it will be too much and will likely need to off load some.
It's hard to clearly buy excess to resell when you're not sure of how much you'll even receive.

I wouldn't say it's breaking the rules to off load unwanted stuff on craigslist. I've done it from time to time when I don't want to pay the shipping cost back.
There's a difference between buying with the intent to resell (e.g. on ebay) and selling unwanted items to save on return shipping.
