I would buy brakes, if it'd let me.

You know, I own a lot of Oakley MTB stuff, but I must say, they do make some hideous looking clothing. Like what is up right now..

Been waiting all day, guess I picked the wrong day to sleep in

    Skate Tuna,

I can't tell whether it's carbon-wrapped alu or alu clamps glued onto a carbon tube, but either way you don't want it. If you're unhappy with your Truvativ stem, try Ritchey or Easton. I've personally got a Ritchey Fatbone stem on my MTB and love it; it's plenty burly and stiff but still very lightweight (190g for 90mm).

About what time were these up last night? I'm disappointed that I missed them.

i was just looking into it and i read it a little closer and not only does it have the strenght of aluminum it IS aluminum. just wraped in carbon. i think ill stick with what i have after all.

i guess its time to add some length to the fron of the bike and if i just bought carbon bars why not get a matching stem. i have an old truevative stem and i hate sram and true vative. i have had terible luck with thir products anything rangeing from blown crank arms to bad gear clusters. i upgraded to all deore parts and am a lot happier now. thanks shimano.

you got me. 90mm is a bit long for my taste and im not so shure of carbonfiber stuff. i have this weird feeling there is a reason my bike weighs 21 lbs. and i dont think a couple of ounces will realy drop me down that much. but i will soon be in need of a new stem becasue the old one has a small crack in the welds. i guess its time for an upgrade.

    Hi Elton,

You mentioned the other day that you might be willing to sell me your old wheels. I responded in that thread, but it was too close to midnight, I guess, and it went away. Anyhow, you can email me at mcheeken AT hotmail DOT com, and we can work out the details, if it's still an option.

    Thanks so much.

Someone will get a sick deal on this! That really is a sick deal for the money.

I've been watching for some good ones. I only wish they had some Large instead of XL and XXL.

Not sure I can trust these brake pads either...

    by Andrew Chang (100)

If they're BBB, they're probably carbon fiber wrapped around aluminum, am i right?

    by Scott Pendleton (130)

Ok, and I thought the integrated stem/flat bar was ridiculous. What's with this BBB company and their crazy components? I for one am not going to trust any of my bikes (especially a MTB) with a stem created by gluing aluminum clamps onto a carbon tube. Maybe that works for seat stays, but those don't have to take torsional force.

Also, the thing weighs 178g? Any good Ritchey alu stem weighs less than that.
