It's just one of those oooh kinda things to have- it's the Ferrari F40 of bicycle pumps. Bet none of your friends have one of these babies! I would never, ever pay $200 for a pump, but...
I say if you can own something this cool for what- just twice the price of a good run-of-the-mill floor pump, and that price is under $100, go for it. How many things do you have that you can say "this is the ultimate example of... one of these." Live it up a little! It's a beautiful and sexy pump.
TuanScott: They don't list the weight because it is literally only @ 1-oz. lighter than the Aluminum Air Tower 5 which is literally half the price.
Popular Mechanics, Oct. 2005 names this pump in their brief article, "The Five Most Pointless Applications of Carbon Fiber". That is not a joke. Well, okay- it's a tongue-in-cheek kind of article...
I have the Air Tower 5 CF. I bought it at this price @ SAC, over the winter. It matches my Ksyrium ES wheelset perfectly. And anyway, why the hell not, I mean... right? It's a freakin' beautiful pump. It's sculpture.

I wonder why I've never heard anyone mention BBB when the subject of $300 CF Bars comes up?
I can get a Easton EC90 or a Kestrel EMS for this price.
I actually thought the brick Oakley jersey didn't look too bad. I was confused about the pockets and decided to pass, though. I like my pockets way too much.
... and the jersey looked kinda "teddy-bearish" -not my style, exactly- just sayin' relatively "a little better" to point out that the least-popular colors, etc. of a given item sometimes/often go up on the block first; i.e., in advance of more popular colors, etc. I say that 'cause if you see something you like but wonder 'why aren't they giving the black ones (or whatever)' just remember that the black ones (or whatever) might be up next week if they don't sell-out (at higher retail prices) at BC/BCOutlet first, so it may or it may not be worth it to you to hold your fire before pulling the trigger on your second or third choice of color/etc.
