Sometimes you definitely have to do your own research. These knee pads sell for 35 bucks on Pricepoint so they're a steal IMO. However, if I'm wearing armor I want shin coverage as well since I'm a hack on my new flat pedals and one slip can mean serious gashes. I see lots of DH guys wearing these just for some minimal protection so I guess it's better than nothing for some people.

Well, you can't be too careful on CL when it comes to strange things. What good does a glued carbon/alu stem that weighs almost 300g do you?

What good would one knee pad do you?

Unless of course you be slangin' and you want errbody to know.

So does this come in a set of two?

Are most freeriders or downhillers even wearing gear like this? I wear shorts with a chamois since I also trail ride. I can't imagine anyone would pay 60 bucks for a pair of shorts like this. You could buy a million pairs of cargo shorts that would serve basically the same function.

a couple of points....

these look like they were styled by oakley!!

and they look nice, but again no liner/padded chamois in these bad boys.

does anyone have any insight into the sizing for these shorts? i wear a size four but certainly don't have a 26 inch waist!

My skate shoes aren't very comfortable, nor as grippy as I would like. I need new kicks for the ultimate in sick-gnar shredding.
