5s are the new 4s, sure enough, but you're kidding these won't sell, right? XC speed-set's gotta have these. Intense isn't dropping their (4") Spider/Spider FRO. This might not be the next big thing, but this is one of the most lauded frames anywhere- it's legit. I think their not selling, because it works out $9- cheaper with free shipping at bc outlet. Just sayin':)

In all seriousness, I don't believe you can touch this deal on a 4" travel XC frame. This is as good as it gets (IMO)- give me a break. I'm set on bumpin' up to 140mm, but this is seriously enough to test my resolve. I'm so sad I missed the 5.5s. And the SLRs! Remove them from my sight!

no one bought an intense frame. sure they were $1080 and they only had a small, xtra small and medium frame. they have great reviews, aside from the maintenance and pivot screw backing out. why no buy? hopefully they will go on sale again sometime. although they probably won't sell. i think it's a great price for the frame. am i wrong? i don't want to buy an inferior product.
i picked up a pair of these tires to test out during the winter on city streets. i ride all winter long in the snow (bike courier), and i prefer a cyclocross type of tire for the road conditions we have here. i have two work bikes in the winter, one with skinny road tires (25c) for fresh snow, and one with cyclocross tires (32c-38c) for packed snow/ice/melting
both fixed. yaa yaaaaa

What time is it, like noon? *yawn* What time were those SLRs up, like 8:00 in the morning? It's not even light out at 8am! Next best price is @ $645. Arrrr. I have a set of these tire and they are decent. I keep them mounted on a set of wheels because they corner very well on dry dusty single track but in loose dirt, wet, or muddy conditions you really want something a bit more like the Scorpion with a bigger block on the sides. Weight is actually really good on the folding kevlar bead if you are concerned. I wish they were in a 2.1 width though.
The Hutchinson Bulldog tire was one of if not the worst tire I've ever used. They came stock on my Giant Trance a few years ago. I rode them for a few rides and then recycled them! They were too square of a profile so when you leaned over on them they lost grip and washed out. I replaced them with some Michelin tires with a better tread profile and tire shape.
My tires were 26" x 2.1 not the 2.3 shown on Chainlove.
Keep in mind that is my opinion but I experiment with at least 10 different mountain bike tire sizes and types during the year. I'm a tire junky.
I am sure these Candy Sls will be back because backcountry is still showing almost 250 in stock.

Also Does this wheelset come with the titanium scewers, spoke wrenches, spoke magnet and bags? Just asking because I'm looking at the mavic website.
Does anyone know if these are the 2008 model? I didn't even get a chance to look at the picture. I just saw it for a second and bought......had to..... can't find a deal like this unless they are used and abused. I almost had a heart attack. Figured I would ave to find a set of Roval Controles because the X-Maxs were so expensive.
Are these the black ones with bladed spokes, red hubs and 1 red spoke?

Any shot we'll see the Candy SL pedal back again? I was trying to place my order yesterday when they sold out. I must just generally suck at this as that happened twice yesterday. Damn work keeping me from sweet deals!
Too bad none of the black ones are left :( none of my bike stuff is red at all. Maybe we'll see some of the Northwave mtb shoes in black later today.
It's probably too late now they're done. But I "think" most hubs are NOT centerlock compatible out of the box (except for shimano hubs of course).
But Shimano makes adaptors to convert to centerlock.
I wish I had bigger feets once again, those are great MTN shoes. Have fun fellas.....
