not very common. myself, i wouldn't change them unless the 44cm bars that i am using now were causing some sort of discomfort or pain in my shoulders.

2 cm isn't that much of a difference, and i doubt you will notice it.

myself, i would recommend using the narrowest bars you can get away with.

That review is not for that particular light.

It's a 3=4 hr, there are 2 brightness settings, and yeah = the color is definitely NOT a soft yellow glow.
