Bottomless CL Day!
Sick deals back to back all day long.
Hijo- yea, the score, T's formula, frequencies that have developed into an almost innate understanding, we all do know CL's language, doesn't mean we can resist, share hope, CHANGE.
Theater as we wait?
is that freon?
Like you said, it happened to be good timing. It's all good, that's the bottom line, that's the truth.
I hear you, Alan. And those are both sweet scores. I'm just saying that the history shows that CL's (regularly) had those bars up every two weeks since June. You said CL "took that extra step"... I'm just saying it doesn't appear they broke step to accommodate you. They were just maintaining their stride- the same stride they've maintained since June. Item appeared 10/29. Two weeks later, item appearead 11/12. Bet it'll come up again, oh I don't know 11/26 -ish. That doesn't make your deal any less sweet.
Heh. I know what you're saying, Hijo. I guess I'm just saying that when I finally caved in and went for those Triple STIs, I was happy that Chainlove took an extra step and threw that EC90 Equipe Pro in fairly short order.
I'd definitely seen both multiple times. It's just that this happened to be good timing for me.
Yay!
I sound like I've experienced an "unsanctioned activation" of the automated fire-fighting system and the effin' hull of my submarine's inadvertently been filled with flame-retardent foam.
First, congrats on the scores (all). A fair shakes a fair shake, and this is the place, no doubt- especially if you've got your heart set on cycling dope and paraphenalia at unlikely discounts. Gratitude where gratitude is due.
Second -and far be it from me to burst anyone's bubble- I can't help but point out that the fact is...
Shimano America Ultegra Triple Shift/Brake Lever Set has appeared 18 times in the last 5 months.
Easton EC90 Equipe Pro Carbon Road Handlebars have appeared 15 times in the last 5 months...
So be sure to figure that in your calculations as you check wishes-granted off your list, one by one. I'm not gonna be the one to break it to you that there's no such thing as Santa Claus. I'm not saying there's no one behind the curtain. Go right ahead and indulge yourself in whatever megalomaniacal paranoia suits you, but you're only spinning your wheels, in the end.
This site isn't operating on a per-request basis, that much is pretty clear. That wouldn't exactly be sound business strategy corporate-wise, now would it? You don't take these people for light-weights, do you? You have noticed Chainlove.com in a matter of months has gone from a non-contender to the toast of the on-line cycling community, right? Check it out. Sure... they'll get to your request... when your desires and sound business practice correspond.
Be patient, observe Chainlove's modus operandi and I think you'll find they're pretty consistent. I'm not going to say they're predictable- they aim to keep us all guessing, of course- a captive audience buys more crap.
The promise of the big score make this little shell-game worth all our while, as is self-evident. The house doesn't always win. They don't have to, as long as they win in the end, and they will. They are looking right over our heads -playing to a larger audience- and it's not necessarily a bad thing that they've got larger aspirations, either.
After all, I have little more interest in a Reynolds Attack clincher wheelset than she2489281 probably has in some of the items I'm keeping an eye out for. And don't forget, there are thousands of us scoping this site at any given moment. Hopefully, all our wishes will be granted in due course.
If I thought you were gonna take my cheese -if I thought the squeekiest wheel'd get the grease (multiply that by thousands)... This could get outta hand pretty quick, right? Just sayin'.
...thanks for the spiritual shout out there Alan; jacket done bagged!!
I got my Jetstream yesterday, and yes, very nice jersey indeed. I (chain)love it, when I know I gotta keeper.
As R.L. Burnside says "Well, well, well..."
Thanks Wizardbuns for getting the Cross Jacket back on, even if I may be jus' talkin' to the script; the ethereal being it be, and to whom we all envision when we make requests.
You are right Alan, some nice hard goods, and yet we all know each others desires so well, when at least the carbon bars came up, I knew ONE of us was going to be very very happy.
Dang good price they were!
Mr. T! Are you watching? Man, I hope so. Cause there's the Crosstrack jacket again. If I didn't already have a nice wet/cold outer, I'd so grab one of those.
I've been really impressed with Endura's upper body stuff. The Jetstream shirt I got last week is pretty fantastic.
Ok, wish #1 granted
Now my turn...Reynodls Attacks please
Actually, they have thrown a few surprise items out there in the past couple of days. I was able to grab a set of the Ultegra Triple Shifters the other night, followed by the Easton EC90 Equipe Pro handlebar yesterday afternoon, which, by the way, was exactly what I needed (especially after picking up those STIs!)
At the same time, the Timbuk2 factory must have an output chute that is connected directly to the CL warehouse.
...we seem to see few clinchers on here -except today with the Easton EA90 Aero's
Reynold Attacks: CL will save that as a big ticket item some other day, just like some mtn. wheelsets.
The menu lately is so evenly meted out, by formula with the out and back 24 hr trip.
I do say they could surprise us evening viewers with snazzy gear out-of-the-blue style. It would help not hurt, that's for sure. Forum of the forgotten? CL is a slag puzzler.
"They" have messed with us before, good ole days.
Speaking of formula CL, mind rotating the Endura Crosstrack jacket back around? Like now?
Please, please Reynolds Attacks....My new bike is still bottomless after a month of waiting for wheels!
Sounds like you should get the desktop, FF, or IE alert duder. It pops up at the same time as the product. And it will click through right to CL.
I've subscribed to the RSS for chainlove and by the time items hit the RSS they appear to be gone. Yet I can still find the items over at backcountry.com for the original retail price.
The latest example is the Addidas wool jersey which I'd like to buy for the $34.36 price that popped up in the RSS feed.
What gives?
Fits well and is warm. Not too warm, as I do feel air flowing through the fabric, but warm enough to keep the chill away. Roomy enough for a baselayer.
I have the Pearl Izumi Kodiak Light Cycling Jersey and love it!
I highly recommend it.
THIS SUNDAY IS THE CUTTHROAT CYCLOCROSS

Or just come out with cowbells and heckle!
anyone interested in a set of lightly used Easton EA70s?
