I haven't had any trouble with Pearl Izumi, except for a couple of their jerseys that are slightly more race ready than I am. I've got some MTB stuff too, but I prefer the tighter fit, so I just stick with PI
On the other hand, these time-trial slicks allow for hours of fun on oily, ran-slick potholed roads!!
Welcome to the wonderful world of Euro bike apparel. In case you've noticed, most of the Tour riders look more like Bataan Death March survivors than NFL linebackers.
Sizing does vary some between manufacturers. Trere are also what they call "Race" jerseys versus "Club", which are a little more relaxed fit.
If you're a big dude, you may find that mountain bike apparel, or stuff by Oakley, fits better.
...check lines of the jacket; on some of the seams -where it is taped- the heat weakened the fabric which makes it break apart. I went 2 for 2 on this:(
Otherwise, nice light jacket. Though as mentioned below, Castelli runs small-small (my relative size still left a tight fit in the arms).
I ordered the Pioggia rain jacket a couple weeks ago from the outlet, I'm pretty large, but a 2X jacket fits in everything else. All the reviews said size up, and BC had a 3X in stock, and it was the smallest thing I've ever tried on. Not so bad through the chest and torso, but back, shoulders, and forearms were immobile in it. and it was short.
I am 5'11" 170 lbs - road racer & I wear an XL in Castelli bottoms. As an aero fit.
