brazen:
"If they sell out...?" If they sell out they do not come back. Once they're gone, they're gone. May the Gear Gods show mercy on all our souls.
"I understand the concept...but" They say $29.99/4-pack tubes msrp. They say $9.99/4-pack = 67% discount. That is the deal CL's offering. Add your shipping, and calculate your discount based on subtotal + shipping if you prefer. That makes perfect sense. If your total cost is $3.58 per tube, your savings is just over 50%, right? It's your call. I'm not buying.
"These tubes are...?" $29.99 per 4-pack at Backcountry.com. That's correct. Really.
"When a sellout is taking 18 hours..." The item has appeared 3 times. It was available for about 1 hour, most recent appearance. It previously appeared about 10 hours ago, and was available for about 1 hour. It appeared 4 days ago and was available for about 25 minutes at that time. chain.gearattack.com.
"If it flies out of stock in 30 minutes or less..." Then you have something. Like the Pinarellos that appeared today and sold out in 10 minutes.
I.taggart:
"would be a good deal but the shipping..." Have you considered buying 2 or even 3 4-packs? You'd cut your shipping substantially and boost your savings. If you like them, stock up. Some things never go out of style.

these tubes would be a good deal but the shipping is crazy. i would have to pay as much for shipping on one set of tubes as the tubes themselves.

I understand the concept of CL but it seems like a lame version of w00t.com. Clearly $3.58 per tube is not a good deal when you add shipping, and I live close in AZ. These tubes are $7.50 retail? Really?

When a sellout is taking 18 hours, it is not a good enough deal...WEAK! If it flys out of stock in 30 minutes or less, then you have something.

Time to go back to the drawing board Drivetrain Lovers!

Oi! man.... Shimano again?

Whatever you do keep the XTR stuff off the site. I fought it off once and I wont be able to pull off grabbing the C/C next time.....

I do think about those shifters often..... Damn.....

Love,

C.K.

"between the bladder and the tube does just that...disconnects!!"
--small piece of duct tape over tab.
I love Dakine, so I don't mind a bit of pre-tuning.

as for carrying helmet and more gear, the slightly wider Nomad and Apex works better. the Drafter would start to swing around a lot.

The description for the Dakine Session pack is false. It does not have a helmet carrier. It only has armour carry straps. I know, because I bought one on backcountry.com and had to return it. The Dakine Drafter pack does have a full-face helmet carrier, and armour straps. This pack is worthless of a freeride/downhill rider who rides uphill once in a while. Storage space is very small also.

I have a Dakine ski-pack with a helmet carry.
It's just 2 straps, hidden in a pocket on the front, that you pull across the outside of your helmet, holding it against the pack. Just don't forget it's there and back into something.

I don't like the (Nalgene brand) bladders that Dakine uses =( The "disconnect", between the bladder and the tube does just that...disconnects!!
I've put a Camelback bladder inside mine. Much better!

Re. the Pearl Izumi Octane:

"Dissipating static electricity enhances performance by improving blood circulation and decreasing the likelihood of overheating and muscle cramping."

That's the funniest thing I've ever read.

not to drive this jersey into the ground some more-- "by branches as you whip by at 40 MPH"--but them are baggy, have diaper elastic pockets. feels good if the lights are out. maybe cut the pockets off and use as nightclub attire- there you go.

by rcgill (11)

I like the jersey. I almost bought it but, on a whim, decided to check the list to be sure it could be shipped to Canada. Guess what? It can't - lame Oakley.

It's also lame that I have to check this myself. Why can't this be automated? I'm logged in and have selected a shipping address... it should automatically alert me.

2007 model, still a killer deal with Ultegra. Wish I had a little more cash and that would be in my garage.

This has to be my least favorite Oakley jersey in the world!!!!!!!!!! I've seen them in person and they are just as ugly. Pin stripes? Hello? Sigh.

OMG! 1170 of 1171 is left. They've only sold 1. This is going to be up for awhile.
