Lets get some sweet downhill bike parts on this site and it will be the best bike site ever. The gear is great, now we just need some killer DH rims, brakes and handlebars to support all the broke Downhillers out there!

Wow. the Forums are quite intense over here. Ha HA

We should get some Mtn And Bmx stuff on here and this place would be kickin

But I'm still going to try to kill the moths whose caterpillars are eating my mint plant. I wanted mint juleps, you little bastards!

You know what they want? They want Chemicals. They want Neuro-Antagonists. Do you know what the difference between a Pesticide and a Weapon of Mass Destruction is? The Dosage. Feel the tingle? That's how you KNOW it's working!

Okay. I know you were wondering, so... although I had from the start an abiding appreciation for The Natural World, my stint as a PCO instilled in me a deep admiration for Insects and a rather pointed disdain for the sort of people (customers) who think they're somehow above the Natural Order of Things. Hey, it's the Bugs Planet. We're just living on it. People who pay for Pest Control don't want a rational point of view. Whatever.

by hijo (491)

You are absolutely correct- I don't know what the heck I was thinking. Social Insects, and I oughta know better. I was a licensed Pest Control Operator once, but that's another story.

Hymenopterans are in fact insects.

re: Bugs
One time my brother and I were riding this, really old staircase down this really steep grade from The old Fire Tower platform on Devil's Den out in the woods. It was about 100 feet long and made of wet, rotten rairoad ties. It was actually kinda hairy. I stood at the top and let him go first. He made it almost all the way to the bottom, then did this weird sort of stationary-endo complete-somersault, stood up, dropped his bike, and ran like hell. That was weird. Ground Hornets. Nest of 'em. Got his ankles. I know they're not insects, btw. They're Hymenopterans. I skipped the staircase, and went down the long way.

Anyone use this? Im looking for a nice but not too expensive light for my hard tail.

Thanks as always Pete. It's awesome of you to make the site.

One of you guys found a bug in sacsearcher.com that was not sending out text messages if you made an alert for chainlove or all. It is fixed now, but you need to recreate your alert for it to work.

Sorry about that and cheers to Brent for bringing it to my attention!

Thanks for the link. That has to be the longest review I've ever read, but it was helpful. I might have to buy a pair of those Northwave Ratcheting shoes next time they are up.

Longest review EVER on STP:

Pretty insightful. I've had my Alpinestars mtn bike shoes for 10 years and they still bleed blue from the dyed leather tongue onto my socks!

(re: Castelli Freddo)
No worries- "Freddo" is Italian for "cold". I checked.

I got the Echoweel R3 computer the other day (with the cadence sensor). No word on durability yet, but I'm very pleased with the function so far. Good interface, accurate measurements.
