Yea, the Sisters have my full support and undying devotion. Girls who ride bkes are hot. I can't imagine why Womyn's cycling shoes should be any different than anything else. It would seem a little far-fetched to think that this might be the one area where BC has singularly managed to match inventory to sales in retail Nirvana. Give the Sistas some shoes, dammit! Whatta we gotta do, storm the Gates? Our Sisters need a greater diversity of footwear for their lovely footsies! And long live the Hoohahs!

Maybe it's a subconscious want for some "Women's shoe" sacrifice for the Sisters- straight to CL.
I've seen some Northwave footwear described as "unisex". I've seen Cat described that way, too- come to think of it. I know that's an anomoly and unfair in today's marketplace. The footwear, I mean. Cat is something of an anomaly, too, and sometimes unfair... I guess an anathema might be another word you might use... BC probably just doesn't have the volume of over-stocked inventory to dispose of. Anyway, I as puzzled as you and don't have much of anything to add, beyond that joke about Cat being "unisex", so... carry on, I guess, and best wishes.
Since stuff is pulled from both the Store and Outlet for CL, I think it is time for women to get their footwear jones taken care of. God knows I am full up on Northwaves- being my fav. I just can't buy anymore.
To buy an equivalent in men's is chancy (out of all the shoes up here, the most narrow have been the Diadora's, which I think aren't that great, and were still costly.)
You've been asking- and CL should deliver in all fairness and round this site out even more.

I remember seeing women's road shoes (PI Vagabonds) back on SAC before the advent of CL, but I don't recall seeing any on here since the birth of CL. They appear to have sold out of the PIs and all other women's shoes at backcountry.com, so it'll probably be a while before they get some women's shoes up here.
If your feet are "large", you could probably fit into small (37-38) men's shoes, which are about the equivalent of a women's 7-8.
Yikes. I couldn't wear the matching set out on the trails. My friends would beat me. Repeatedly. Or they'd get my rotors all greasy before a dh section.
I just try to dress like a clown on the road. :-)
